Housing

Housing challenges are not unique to Lebanon City or Lebanon County.  Housing issues are a national concern and it is a complex issue that requires multifaceted solutions. I believe that starting a community-wide conversation is the first step toward finding those solutions. The city partnered with the Community Health Council and held a Housing Summit on February 4th to discuss the next steps after completion of our Housing Needs Assessment.  Our goal is to develop a housing strategy aimed at tackling both the supply and quality of housing in our city.  This plan will focus on creating affordable housing options while also encouraging the renovation and revitalization of existing substandard housing.  We need to foster stronger public-private partnerships, revisit zoning ordinances to ensure they are flexible enough to accommodate a range of housing options, and advocate for more workforce housing across all income levels.  I am committed to working hard to ensure that everyone has access to a place they can truly call home.
